Back in the 1930s, a small drugstore was opened on Chakrawad road, Bangkok. This humble beginning was the starting days of Thaipharmed 1942 Co.,Ltd. as seen today. The drugstore business started to grow and was gradually expanded. In 1942, the drugstore started to import some drugs to be sold domestically under the name “TRUSTY DRUGS”. During the next fourteen years, a wide range of products in the pharmaceutical field and medical devices were imported and business started to prosper. After long years of experience in the industry, combined with the medical and pharmaceutical knowledge of the founder, Trusty Drugs made the decision to start manufacture its own products. The business was moved to Isarapap road, and “TRUSTY DRUGS CO.,LTD.” was established to manufacture pharmaceutical products within its own manufacturing facilities. One of the company’s leading products “Flying rabbit :Mist Salol et Menthol” was also originated from this plant.

By the year 1968, the company moved again, this time to build a new manufacturing plant, which was one of the best and considered state-of-the–art at that time. For over 35 years at this new site, the company has become one of Thailand’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers. Nowadays Thaipharmed 1942 Co.,Ltd.(Trusty Drugs Co.,Ltd. changed its name to Thaipharmed 1942 Co.,Ltd. in 1991) manufactures over 100 items ranging from ethical drugs to OTC products, which are distributed to drugstores, clinics and hospitals throughout the country as well as to neighboring countries.
